A Little Of This And A Little Of That

The other day I was talking to my wife when a talking head from a news network started speaking. He was talking about the moon-shot NASA made and what was in store for the future. He started by saying the ‘new’ director of NASA nixed what they were going to do to put a human on the moon again but was, instead, going to delay a year for SpaceX to get things together and use that.

My wife did not understand why I disapproved of that idea and looked disgusted. I had to explain it to her slowly so that she would understand. First, Musk is owner of SpaceX and is the richest man, that I know of, on earth. Musk and Trump are hand in hand on all sorts of things. Saying that means both are for making as much money as possible on everyone else’s dime. Second, the talking head mentioned the ‘new’ head of NASA. Who he was talking about was a Trump appointee after firing the very productive head of NASA. Third, SpaceX has had problems and one of them is exploding on the launch pad. Sure, they have made a few good launches, but one failure is one too many.

If I was an astronaut, I would not want to put my life on the line and fly SpaceX. (smile) I’ll fly American. He’s South African (smile) No laughing matter, but that is exactly what any astronaut will do by flying SpaceX. It is not right to disregard everything over friendship and money. Even when Musk flew people to space, there was the amount of money it cost each person that went on the flight. That is what most conflicts and other things amount to. Oil and/or money.

Since this administration took office, everything has gone sideways. Since this administration took office, their bottom line is to make as much money for themselves as possible. Since this administration took office, you cannot believe anything anybody says or write. Since this administration took office law and order is not law and order. Since this administration took office lying is the norm.

Moving on, while keeping lying on the front burner, I’ll move to the redistricting vote that Virginia passed. Republicans are hollering ‘FOUL’ because it does great harm to them. They seem to forget the President started this by saying he need five seats and wanted the Republican governors to redraw their district voting lines. It was not put to a vote by the people of the state; it was just done as he wanted. Virginia put it to a vote by the people of the state of Virginia and the Democrats won and can redraw the map the way they want it, depriving the Republicans five seats. The Trump appointed judge stopped the redrawing of the map and it is now up to the state Supreme Court to say it was legally done and the map can be redrawn. I’ll just have to wait and see what happens. This was one of the rare times people had a say in what they wanted for the state.

I can not wait for the midterm voting. It should be interesting and a lot of bloodletting. If the democrats can pull it off, maybe the enrichment (stealing much of the people’s money) can be stopped, and people can be held accountable. I’m not holding my breath, but the USA is out of money and deeper in debt than ever before. Everywhere you look, someone from the present administration has taken a few million dollars and the people are starving. I hope the midterms can turn this around. God help us.

The Fourteenth Amendment

The fourteenth amendment of the United States Constitution say all that is necessary to say in the impeachment of the ex-President, number forty-four, of the United States. His words were heard around the world as the mob incitement was carried out. The mob was sent to the United States Capitol to take it over and stop the ratification of the state’s votes by ‘fight like hell’. What was said before and after those words were incendiary as well. Sedition of our government should not be tolerated nor condoned.

There were Congressmen that were speakers at the rally and, from what I find, will be dealt with separately at another time.  This includes people in Congress texting the hiding location of fellow Congress people.  Then there are those that do not want the article of impeachment be brought against the ex-President because he has departed and is not in office. That type of thinking is like not bringing charges against an individual for robbing a store because the individual departed. Or, if someone shoot you and throw the firearm away the individual is forgiven because he no longer has the firearm.

The fourteenth amendment is not a criminal provision, it says that whoever is guilty of the fourteenth amendment (in this case sections three and four) cannot ever hold a federal position again. Which mean the ex-President can never run for nor be in office again. It does not say he will go to jail. That is for the decision of other departments of the government.

There is still a faithful following that are homegrown terrorist, and others, that believe an insurrection (a violent uprising against an authority or government) and will do anything to see that it is done. Some of these people, like the ex-President, have made it into the government. These people are attempting to bring the government down from the inside out. The fourteenth amendment would apply to them also.

Thinking about criminal charges, accessory to murder comes to my mind. This would apply to the people on the inside and the ex-President. There are those that do not want the impeachment of the ex-President because, maybe, they rather have Trump instead of a sane government and do not want to carry out the will of the people that elected them. Maybe they want to be a part of the new party that Trump want to start with him as the head. If the new party is activated a newer head would be in power soon because Trump is old, and I believe his health is not as good as he says it is.

Even if a new party happens the fourteenth amendment must be enforced. Seditious people cannot be a part of the government. The new party cannot make their own rules contrary to the United States Constitution nor can they have their own Constitution. I am not the expert but, I am wondering, can the members of the new party be impeached also? If that is possible, then sedition is out of the question, the fourteenth amendment will be enforced. It will be interesting to watch all of this play out.

Writing

Lately, I have received correspondence from a few readers about topics I have written. I have tried hard not to take sides when the topic I am writing on have a political tone. However, some readers are of a party that, in their minds, forces them to comment, defending their party. I do not belong to one party or the other. I go for whomever I think is the better choice.

Some people stereotype others by the way they look, talk, or act. In my case, I am stereotyped by the way I write. So be it. I do not get distressed because of the way I am seen. I am old enough, hopefully wise enough, to let this go by me like water rolling off a duck’s back. There are better things, more things, in life that demand my attention than something I cannot control.

I may attempt to help a person run for office that I think will be a good person to have there. I may vote for a person I think is the best to elect. Contrary to what some believe, I am not for one political party over the other. I do not dislike a person because that person is in a political party I am not voting for. I believe the person, that is trying to convince me to have blinders on and believe one hundred percent in a certain party, is the one who have blinders on and is closed minded to hearing the other side and everyone else is against them and/or their party.

The correspondence I have received don’t like the fact I talked negatively about our present President, his people, and the people that support him. This is my opinion, others have theirs. I see things negatively happening differently than what they see. I have a writing platform in which I write what I see and think. Others can do the same thing but rather personalize their feelings upon me. Maybe they are thin-skinned and don’t want to admit their inadequacies. Do your thing and I’ll do mine. I hope we can live together in peace.

For some time, some people take this political agenda too far and commit unspeakable acts that have many people wondering about the purpose of the political party. One stupid person doing something wrong is one thing, but when you have it happening many times, by people of the same party and in the name of the agenda of that party, means that party have lots of soul searching to do.

Maybe they are just acting out, like a young child acts out to get the focus away from them, in order to look favorably upon them. This is childish and shows me that person have not matured and need to focus on growing up. A mature person knows they can not have everything the way they want it all the time. A mature person also knows wrong doings have consequences. The consequences will come either slowly or quickly, but it will eventually come.

So, I say to anyone that have a problem with what I write; get your own writing platform and write what you want. Write good things or bad things but never vulgar things. And, remember this, what you write is there forever. Once you click ‘enter’, you are forever held liable and will be forever held accountable.
