Venerate: To regard or treat with reverence; revere

As I look at the Impeachment trial and, before that, the House hearings I still say what I said before and that is, what we have here is a cult. Look at the definition and think about what is going on in Congress and at the White House. It can not be said that it is not what it is. The head of a cult does what he or she wants to do when he or she wants to do it and in whatever way he or she wants.

This cult reminds me of Jim Jones who killed all his members in Jonesville, Guyana in 1978 but he started the Peoples Temple in Indiana during the 1950s. His members were doing whatever he told them to do and in 1978 died for him willingly. Jim Jones did not like the press and tried to kill them along with his people. Jim Jones always did what he wanted to do including fathering many children with many women.

All this smells like our government, all three branches of government plus the civilian supporters. They are in a cult and do not want to see outside their large sect. If there is something or someone they do not like, they will, in some way, try to get rid of the problem. It is what the leader wants or like and the members will do their best to ensure it is so. The leader cannot do or say anything wrong. Any law he fabricates is righteous to the members because they cannot  see the fallacy in it.

At first, I was thinking that the President wanted to emulate the Russian leader or the North Korean leader or the Chinese leader or others like them, but I looked again and realized the grifter wanted a cult. At his campaign rallies, the crowds are over the top and, like most cults, they are mostly young. Like Congress they do not want to hear anything said against him. They will fight to their death.

As far as the government is concerned, it is hard to put a finger on why they admire this cult leader. Of course, the cult leader has moved his people into prime positions so that he has control over all parts of the government. Sounds like a Russian conspiracy to me. But it could just be part of the cult.

Either way, I am a person that think for myself and detest others thinking for me. That is the very reason a cult would never work for me and I cannot follow a grifter like our current President. He has his cult members, especially Congress, wrapped around his little finger. His party is naive about the ways of the grifter and is caught up in the web while listening to his canting voice.

The President now have a broad black mark on his legacy and, as I have said in my other blog      (  www.faithingodministries.net ), God will have His say and the followers will go down with him. I don’t like cults and don’t see how intelligent people can be drawn into them. How can people be like sheep being led to the slaughter? Being in a cult is only good for one person, the leader and all others are like the sheep.
