We Are In A Quagmire

Once upon a while ago I decided to stop my blogs. I was not out of material, but I concluded no one was listening. Well, not no one, but I only had only a couple of hundred readers after a decade plus of writing. Then the old saying, “I told you so” arrived. Therefore, I write one more blog just to say, I told you so’.

I guess you are wondering what I am talking about. I have talked about most of what is happening now. I talked about it years ago and what I wrote came to be, in www.tega227.com and www.faithingodministries.com,  yet I still see many that still do not see it or believe it.  They do not see what is coming and it will change everyone’s life forever.

What am I talking about? One bad action always leads to many bad consequences, like a domino effect. I’ll describe one here: the war with Iran, in my opinion, was a very bad decision. Now that oil shipments have been choked off will mean high prices for the little oil that can be acquired elsewhere. Our own oil reserves cannot last for a long wait for the strait to reopen. There is no indication that it will reopen anytime soon and only one fifth, or so, of the oil we use comes through the strait. That leads to other problems.

Oil needs to be refined into fuel that is needed for homes, other buildings, cars, trucks, ships, planes, and much more. I remember, when I was in the military and stationed in Europe in the ’70’s, there were certain days we could drive and alternate days to get gasoline. It could happen again. Traveling will cost more because fuel will cost more. The cost of transporting that fuel to get to where it is needed will cost more. Extracting oil from our own oil fields will cost more. Refining the oil will cost more. And on, and on, and on.

Look at the food we eat. Exotic food (food that is not normally grown in the USA) will become almost nonexistent. Why? Transportation cost to get it here coupled with transportation cost to get it to the stores where the people must drive to get it. All of it is oil. Some people are happy because they are all electric (car, home, and more), but don’t forget the generators that provide electricity run on some type of oil-based material.

Then there is the feeling that when things get tough Taxis, bus, ride share, etc. can be used. Gasoline is the primary fuel for vehicles therefore, to offset fuel costs, fares will be higher. I know about ride share because I provide that on a part-time basis. I should say used to provide it because I have decided to stop because of the fuel costs that I absorb from my pocket. I get paid from the pickup to the destination. Travelling to the pickup and all other incidentals come from my pocket.

NATO have been asked to help secure the strait that Iran has closed. They have said ‘no’. It was the GOP administration that wanted to pull out of NATO. The administration has asked the European nations to help. They have said ‘no’. The GOP administration pushed away our European allies but now have asked for help. The administration has said more than once that we do not need anyone, and we can do anything alone. Now we are alone, except for Isreal, and have the nerve to ask for help. All because of ego and oil, plus miscalculations.

People that do not know how to survive on basic items and to get by with easily gotten daily items, as in the old days, will have a very hard time and will be the ones that cry loudest.  I am not worried because I am a senior and know how to get by on hardly anything. This oil crisis doesn’t have me worried at all. Been there, done that. I grew up knowing nothing about oil or its byproducts. I walked everywhere I had to go and had meals made from the most basic things on a wood and coal stove.

In closing I want to say, good luck’, to those that voted GOP, on getting the strait open for oil tankers coming through any time soon. Iran has the upper hand, and things are not looking good for us. We are in a quagmire and there is no way out any time soon.

Global Warming

Earth is our home. A home we all must care for because there is nowhere else to go. Call it global warming or climate change, it’s all the same to me. Weather is changing and the change is like it have done for millions of years. Most of it is Mother Nature doing her thing but some of it is manmade. Humans are causing much of the destruction of many things which causes Mother Nature to rebel.

               There are many people that do not believe nor understand this and there is nothing I can do to convince them. Back in the day things were different. I grew up with wood and coal stoves for heating and cooking. Only the rich had oil or gas for heat and cooking. However, I do not remember any warnings/alerts for smog or bad air. There is plenty of them today and it will get worse long before it gets better. We used and reused things and when it could no longer be used, we made it or attempted to make it usable for other things.

               Those that do not believe in worsening weather must walk around with their eyes, ears, and nose closed. It is all around us and will not go away. The ice is melting at both poles. The fire season is getting earlier and earlier. More and more animals are becoming extinct because of the destruction of their habitat. Each year is getting hotter. There are earthquakes, tsunamis, heat alerts, haboobs (of which I thought was for the deserts of Africa, Arabia, India, etc. but is frequent in our southwestern states), floods, droughts, and volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, tornadoes, (just to name a few things).

               Congress, on the other hand, will not pass legislation to correct what we can and the ones that have passed is so weak it just as well not be there. Not only must the USA get with realizing the danger, but the world must also come together and attempt to fix this problem together. America has its hands tied because the congressmen are looking for something for themselves. If they can not find a value in it for themselves or their party, they will vote against anything and everything.

               As I thought about this article, I thought about what the world was doing to contribute to this problem. One problem jumped out at me and that is the Amazon. That area supplies the earth with so much, like filtering the air, exotic animals, exotic plants that have provided new medicines and other things, and so much more that I do not even know about. Yet slowly the Amazon is being cleared for crops, housing, and other things. Tribal people and animals are finding their living area is getting smaller as well as smoke from the burning forest is irritating.

               So, don’t believe in global warming but this is the only world we know to live in. The earth, every so often, make changes. We cannot stop the changes, but we can stop the portion that is man caused. The starting point is to stop denying climate change/global warming. The rest of it is to go back to being green and doing what we can about the amount of trash we accumulate (Like all that plastic), etc. We must all do our part while we stop fighting each other about this. Global warming is real.

Deep Thought

I really try to avoid discussing politics and/or religion because of the potential arguments and animosities it causes. However, as I watched television when it reported on the Paris incidents, I began to say to myself, as I have said to myself in the past, these perpetrators are not the true Muslims as they want to be seen as. I will attempt to have you see some of my reasoning.

I ask this question which would require a definitive answer. How can a person be a true Muslim if they partake, sell or make drugs? How can a person be a true Muslim if they drink alcohol? It is my humble understanding that none of this is ever done and be able to go to Heaven. My mind is going in circles trying to come to an understanding. This is what jolted my mind into numbness.

The Paris murders were carried out by so called Muslims, at least that is the report that is given. However, upon the French Police entering their lair, drugs and booze were found. Allah would be furious about this revelation of a devout Muslim being like the Infidels. I may be wrong or I may have missed something but this is what I see on the television. Something is wrong here.

Then I thought about their cash crops in their homelands. Opium, or should I say Poppies. There are only three things that can be done with these flowers. First, have beautiful flowers for sale. Second, take the gum and make morphine. Third, take the gum and make opium. There is more money in opium. The people in the lands that produce opium, Muslims, were upset that other crops we tried to get them to grow did not provide as much money and they wanted the go ahead to grow poppies again.

There is another drug that they are using and pushing heavily. They are even fighting over the profits coming from that drug. It’s called captigon. It’s like crystal meth in pill form and very additive. It lasts for a long time and suppose to make their fighters think they are all powerful and nothing can stop them. However, they are the pure and righteous Muslims (so they say). This also have a smell of Capitalism, something they and the Communist are strongly against.

From what I see, these people want the world to be Muslim, to live like they did in the days before Jesus. They want all women to be servant or at least to have an air of servility. They want to shed the blood of anyone that is not of a particular clan or sect or whatever. They want the monies but they did not make it or do anything that would make the money. They don’t want anything that is modern although they will use it to attempt to gain whatever ends they are aiming to get. Should I mention the internet, vehicles, telephone, radio, television, etc. Don’t get me started on the oil production.

All in all, it all adds up to be one big smoke screen, if you will, for world domination, maybe. Or, it could be just an excuse to kill and kill some more and wield power over those that are not in the inner circle. This sound like a 007 movie or anything else out of Hollywood. But, this is not make believe, this is real. The bullets and carnage is real. We all have to be careful and see beyond the lies and politics.

I am through ranting and will not approach this subject again, I had to clear my mind. I imagine, if I probe deeper into the subject, I could come up with other reasoning things and none would be good or make an ounce of reasoning. I will just go about my business as usual but keep my eyes and ears open. More than before. In this area there are too many places worthy of striking and it could happen at any time. I don’t want to be among the ones in the way. I can’t move like I used to and I just want to live in peace.
